FAQ

How do I attend a group, class or receive counseling?

Call in to the office (503) 644-2339 or email goodsam@gsmusa.org. You can find out about an open class or group, ask to receive our newsletter with calendar, and/or sign up for a “relational” first meeting so we can get to know you.

How can I volunteer to help your ministries?

Simply stop by the office or email us at volunteer@gsmusa.org and we will get back to you for a convenient time to come by. We are a volunteer run organization with very few paid staff. Your unique gifts and talents are sure to go a long way here.

Is GSM a church or a denomination?

Neither, GSM is a community of ministries birthed and maintained through relationship. The work of GSM comes alongside churches as we “prepare the soil” by bringing healing and wholeness to people and prepare them for a more empowered and activated life.

GSM encourages people to be active in life and community which includes church membership and serving others as Samaritans every day. Life in the Kingdom of God happens every day of the week.

What does GSM’s call to “teach nothing but the Kingdom of God” mean?

“God’s Kingdom come, His will be done…” God’s kingdom includes a plan for each persons unique design. Many become confused and even believe things about themselves that are simply not true. God’s kingdom offers a wealth of truth for anyone willing to hear it and unlock it.

The Kingdom of God is what Jesus taught to those who would listen. He was constantly teaching through stories while encouraging people to discover it personally, intentionally and powerfully. Encouragement and empowerment are central to our ministry calling.

The Kingdom of God is evidenced when love breaks through. Love God, and love your neighbor as yourself. We empower others to live and love as Good Samaritans.

How do  your offices and centers teach this Kingdom?

The Kingdom of God offers self discovery, unlocked potential, and empowerment. We do not preach to our clients, we listen. Everything begins with relationship.

As a Christian ministry we base our actions on Jesus’ example and his words. When sending out his disciples in Luke chapter 10, he instructed them to proclaim the Kingdom of God, and to do so without expecting anything in return. So, we believe the Kingdom is evidenced and expanded when we share the love of Jesus in action. Active listening, active teaching, and active relationship. GSM does this through a 501C3 non-profit corporation, and remains supported through donations and ongoing donor partnerships.

We offer donation based services such as counseling, teaching, groups, events and more. At our core we are about loving God and our neighbors.
