Distress Tolerance training will help you develop skills for tolerating painful events when you cannot make things better right away. Skills include distraction, self-soothing, improving the moment, and identifying pros and cons.

INTERPERSONAL EFFECTIVENESS (DBT) Thursdays, June 6, 13, 20, 27, 6-7:30 p.m.
The goals of Interpersonal Effectiveness training include 1) Objectiveness Effectiveness: meeting your objectives or goals in a situation; 2) Relationship Effectiveness: getting or keeping a good relationship; and 3) Self-Respect Effectiveness: Keeping or improving self-respect and liking yourself.
TEACHER TRAINING: BIBLE Saturday, June 8, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., Bettie.
All ages are welcome, and new people are encouraged to attend this highly interactive class. Bettie’s greatest call was teaching the Bible in such a way that it inspired a radical, intimate relationship with the living God. The goal of this class is to train others to teach the Bible in a passionate and interactive manner. Also offered on August 3, October 19, December 21!

This training is for people who are currently Lay Counselors at GSM or other ministries/churches, and also for those who are interested in becoming Lay Counselor or Mentors. This training will help you with topics like Marriage Counseling, Depression, Lay Counseling Practicum, and Forgiving. Learn how to empower yourself and others with Kingdom teaching that is life-changing and interactive.
