A team of teachers has formed to create Spring Core Training which trains Samaritans as well as current and future counselors. This series has something for everyone. Sessions will include communication, Jesus the Counselor, the counseling relationship, and separation in the presence of domestic violence from all perspectives.
Date for Core Training: Saturdays 9am – 1:30pm May 2, 16 and 30. Watch for the class schedule which will be out soon. There are classes in this series that will benefit Samaritans, counselor trainees and experienced counselors.

A series of seven classes is a parenting program for caregivers of infants, toddlers and young children through age 10. Develop observational skills to identify new options to help manage emotions and enhance the quality of relationships; gain tools for increasing children’s feelings of safety and security.

GSM’s call is teaching the Bible in such a way that it inspires a radical, intimate relationship with the living God. This six-week series of classes will help you discover your individual identity and help you to recognize and change co-dependent behaviors. This class will be interactive. The class is highly recommended for anyone in counseling or teaching who would like to strengthen their own identity and to be clear on their individual responsibilities.

Headquarters Office in Beaverton safeTALK Training… Please RSVP 503 644 2339 Led by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention next session date to be announced safeTALK teaches members of the community to recognize people with thoughts of suicide and to connect them to suicide first aid resources. This one-half day workshop developed by Living Works Education – a Canadian public service company dedicated to the prevention of suicide – typically precedes the 2-day ASIST workshop and offers a carefully crafted set of steps that makes it possible for attendees to leave the training willing and able to be suicide alert helpers. Coffee and Refreshments will be served.
