Counseling as Last Resort Leads to Healing October 21, 2012

Testimony from Brad of Portland, OR.
I had been struggling with feeling down and depressed.  I was hesitant to do anything about it. I was irritable and angry a lot. I had trouble forming deep relationships with people. My relationship with my girlfriend was falling apart.  Even though, I grew up as a Christian, I was feeling very distant from the church and God.   A traumatic assault took away my confidence, my sense of worth.
When nothing else was working, I decided to go to counseling.  What I saw as my last resort became my first step of healing.  I called and made a counseling appointment at Good Samaritan Ministries.   It has been an absolutely transforming experience.    I’ve been coming to counseling for nine months, I received  encouragement, inspiration, and love.
Hope was restored that I had lost for 10 years.  GSM transformed my relationship with my Creator and sense of worth. It not only  restored my spiritual well-being, but also my physical and emotional health. Now rather than secluding myself, I am building a healthy relationship with my girlfriend.
