Speaking with Love at Family Camp July 20, 2016
Significant personal healing happens at Family Camp for children and adults who attend and step out in faith. All ages learn together with some special activities planned for children. It’s wonderful to see people take the time to be a family and to join the larger Samaritan family of people who care deeply about speaking, acting, and living with love.
Family Camp is a safe place to learn and to celebrate 40 years since the original call of this ministry. Join with singles, families, fathers, mothers, grandfathers, grandmothers for meals served in the dining hall and two nights lodging in cabins where families can stay together. A short hike to Silver Falls is one of the optional activities.
We still have room for more people to join us July 29-31 at the Christian Renewal Center near Silver Falls State Park. Meet people like Moushir and Evette who have a ministry of counseling in Egypt.
Will you be joining us at the Samaritan Family Camp Weekend this summer? You could meet Teresa Stroup, our Executive Director, and counselors, staff, and a variety of people from all walks of life, with or without young children.
This photo introduces Roland and Christine Hildebrant’s family. The Hildebrants have significant experience with breakthrough ministry to children and families and will be leading the camp this year.
Partial scholarships are available because many people have donated to this fund.
We would like to thank God for His provision through a designated gift from Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. This church family in Lake Oswego gives generously to support missions including GSM and this significant ministry to families.
One family shared: “Family Camp has helped our family so much. At our first camp, the theme was misery versus ministry. We remember that someone played the violin to illustrate the difference.” This family also donated camp scholarship funds for other families. They hope to come back to camp and share in the ministry of music.
Please sign up ASAP for our 2016 weekend in Silverton, Oregon.
